Is it that time already?
The National Association of Broadcasters is sending out the call for technical papers or sessions proposals for next year’s big show, April 6–11, 2013, in Las Vegas.
A release helpfully lays out: “Submissions must be relevant to the creation and distribution of all media and filmed entertainment content, or address emerging trends and their impact on the media business.”
Planned conferences for the 2013 show are Broadcast Engineering, Broadcast Management, Cloud Computing, Creative Master Series, Disruptive Media, Military and Government Summit along with General and Super Session Series. A release adds, “Event organizers will consider proposals on new media for multiple platforms, new business models, and the impact of new technologies and marketplace realities on existing businesses and creative processes.”
All sorts of instructions, suggestions and explanations can be found here. The deadline is Oct. 19.
The NAB also says that it is looking for nominations for its Program Advisory Group, a group of “industry leaders and subject matter experts who provide feedback on overall conference design and suggest new areas of programming to address the evolving media and entertainment landscape.” Nominations may be sent to dbrasse@nab.org.
