WorldCast Systems is bringing its APT SureStreamer (shown) to the NAB Show this year. According to the firm, the system is targeted at broadcasters who wish to benefit from the cost savings and reliability offered by the SureStream technology but don ’t want to invest in new codec hardware.
Other WorldCast products on show will be the APT MPX IP audio codec, which supports MPX transfer over IP links. Able to handle 88 kHz of audio bandwidth and scale a 192 kHz sample rate, the codec output can be transferred directly to the digital modulator, thus eliminating degradation or distortion from any conversion, says WorldCast.
The company also reminds customers that Ecreso’s 10-year warranty on FM transmitters is now available without subscription to the company’s EMR service and no longer requires an Internet connection to the transmitter site. All Ecreso transmitters now enable remote activation of the warranty if required.
