NAB to FCC: Move Fast on IBOC

NAB has urged the FCC to adopt permanent authorization of IBOC swiftly.
In comments filed with the commission on NRSC-5, the IBOC standard crafted by the National Radio Systems Committee, NAB said FCC action to finalize its rules and adopt a standard for terrestrial digital radio in the U.S. would promote the roll-out and provide broadcasters, manufacturers and consumers “confidence that IBOC is the next generation of ubiquitous, free radio service.”
