NABEF to Feature Hirsch, Van Ark, Giuliani

The Service to America Summit in Washington on June 10 likely will have emotional overtones, given the events of Sept. 11.
Actors Judd Hirsch and Joan Van Ark will present awards at the summit. It recognizes community service by local broadcasters — plenty of which was on display on Sept. 11 and in the months afterwards.
The event is sponsored by NABEF and Bonneville International. An awards ceremony will feature former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani; “Entertainment Tonight’s” Mary Hart will receive an award for public service efforts.
