
New NABJ President Bob Butler
The National Association of Black Journalists elected current Vice President of Broadcast Bob Butler to serve the next term as the organization’s 20th president.
Butler is an award-winning multimedia journalist at KCBS(AM/FM) in San Francisco.
The new Vice President of Broadcast will be Dedrick Russell. Errin Haines Whack will serve as vice president of print. Coery Dade was voted in as secretary, and Keith Reed was unanimously chosen as treasurer. The Parliamentarian will be Cindy George.
Sherlon Christie will be the new Region I director. Gayle Hurd will direct Region III. Region IV Director is Vickie Thomas. Region V Director is Mary Benton. Region VI Director is Michelle Fitzhugh Craig. Region II is vacant.
Dawn Roberts will serve as associate representative, and the term’s student representative will be Khorri Atkinson.
