A new company devoted to digital broadcasting technology was recently spun off from Nassau Broadcasting Partners L.P. and will be headed by Joan Gerberding and G. Daniel Henrickson, who will both resign from their posts as NBPLP executive VPs.
The new Nassau Media Partners has been spun off from NBPLP and is now a privately owned company. The lead investor is Louis Mercantanti, the president/CEO of NBPLP. NMP will focus on “identifying, developing and integrating digital electronic broadcasting technology into their strategic business model.” Gerberding and Henrickson’s main project will be the i2i Media digital displays, which will use animation, visual effects, 3D graphics and streaming media to attract prospective customers’ wandering eyes in retail and commuter areas.
“This engaging motion display system is changing the conventional indoor and outdoor advertising business, as we know it today,” said Gerberding.
