Nautel has added the NX Series of high-power, medium-wave radio transmitters.
Announcing the news at this week’s IBC show in Amsterdam, it said the series was designed with Digital Radio Mondiale and HD Radio digital transmission as integral features.
The company touted the series for its integrated digital transmission capability and economical use of space. Power outputs start at 100 kW. Features include AM adaptive precorrection, AC to RF efficiency of 90% and, in the NX800, what the company calls the largest single-ended transmitter power output available in the industry, 800 kW. Multiple transmitters can be combined for up to 2000 kW.
