Nautel Gives Quincy Office Details

A customer support center will open there; first staff are announced

Nautel now has confirmed it will open a customer support center based in Quincy, Ill., and announced the first staff.

The company issued an announcement including a welcoming message from the president of the Great River Economic Development Foundation.

Radio World reported earlier that Nautel was planning an expansion.

The first hires are Nelson Bohorquez and Jim Krueger.

Krueger had been with Harris, working on high-power systems in the 200 kW to 2 MW range; he also has worked for the U.S. Coast Guard, where he was involved with installation of Loran-C high power transmitters.

Bohorquez was at Broadcast Electronics for seven years in the customer service department.

Also based in Quincy is sales engineer Steve Schmitt, whose hiring was announced last week; he has held sales engineering and customer service positions at BE and Harris.
