After a seven-year absence, NBC Universal came back into NAB membership this week.
NBC has 10 O&O television stations (and no radio).
Like other broadcast groups that had left the association, NBC quit over disagreements over NAB’s lobbying on media ownership rules.
ABC, Univision and ION Media (formerly Paxon Communications) have also come back into the NAB fold; Fox and CBS remain out of NAB membership and seem likely targets for a focused push by President/CEO David Rehr to return also.
