Net Radio Rebounds After Holidays

The Internet radio audience zoomed in the first full work week after holidays, reports MeasureCast Inc. The first full work week of 2002 saw the most hours streamed since the company began measuring the medium and a 44.32% increase from the previous week.
Every station listed in the MeasureCast Weekly Top 25 saw increases in the total number of hours streamed and the number of unique listeners, or Cume, compared to the previous week. For the second week in a row, JazzFM, followed by Virgin Radio, MEDIAmazing, KING(FM) and ESPN Radio, led the top 5 streaming stations.
The company reports that the total time spent listening to streaming broadcasters has increased 480% since January 2001 with most users listening during the workday.
