Undergraduate students from the University of Minnesota’s engineering department participated in the North American Solar Challenge, in which teams compete to build solar-powered cars; the annual contest includes a drive from Dallas to Calgary, some 2,400 miles.
The school’s eighth solar car, the Centaurus, includes donated connector and receptacle products from Neutrik.
Donations from Neutrik included XX-Series XLRs, A-Series XLR receptacles, DL-Series XLR receptacles and speakON Lockable Loudspeakers connectors and receptacles.
Most of the electrical components on the car were designed and manufactured by the students.
