The Alpine INE-W957HD audio/video/navigation system includes built-in HD Radio.
Alpine Electronics is now shipping its new 8-inch and 7-inch audio/video/navigation systems. The X008U and INE-W957HD are premium AVN systems with several information and entertainment features.
The X008U aftermarket AVN system is designed to work with Alpine’s Perfect F.I.T. dash kit solutions for dashboard integration. Twelve dash kits are available now and two new kits for truck and SUV models will arrive later this year, according to the manufacturer. Each kit cosmetically matches the shape, color and texture of the vehicle’s interior and comes with necessary accessories for plug-and-play installation.
The X008U and INE-W957HD are compatible with various audio sources. Both models have a built-in HD Radio receiver and offer Pandora control from iPhone and Android smartphones. The units have rear USB access. The X008U and INE-W957HD are compatible with SiriusXM using a separate tuner.
The X008U and INE-W957HD are compatible with TuneIt 2.0, Alpine’s smartphone app for in-vehicle sound tuning.
TuneIt 2.0 notifies the user of incoming activity on his/her Facebook wall through a pop-up message on the screen, showing the name and photo of the sender. If the user chooses to accept the notification, TuneIt 2.0 will play the message back via text-to-speech and the user can “Like” the message through the press of a button. When the vehicle is parked, the user can view posted photos and messages on the screen.
The X008U lists for $2,100 and the INE-W957HD lists for $1,500. Alpine AVN systems are available at authorized Alpine retailers.
