Cambridge, Mass.-based media company PRX has named Shona Koester as its new chief operating officer.
Prior to this appointment, Koester was vice president of distribution and content partnerships at American Public Media, where she previously held several senior management positions. Prior to APM, Koester led strategic initiatives at Chicago Public Media.
In the beginning of her career, she also owned and operated a sales and marketing company, ran an emergency service center and food bank for Hopelink, and led grant programs at The Pacific Science Center.
