In celebration of cultural identity, diversity and national pride, the Ad Council is distributing a new PSA called “I am an American.” Austin, Texas-based ad agency GSD&M created the spot after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks to focus on the diversity of America’s citizens.
Meantime, First Lady Laura Bush is featured in another new PSA urging parents to be attentive to their children’s feelings in the aftermath of the attacks. The radio version of the PSA is available in :30- and :45-second formats.
