RingTales has debuted an iTunes podcast featuring animated versions of the familiar cartoons in The New Yorker magazine. Subscribers to the advertiser-supported podcast receive three animations of The New Yorker “RingTales” each week.

RingTales, a California-based company, has an exclusive license to animate and distribute the magazine’s library of 70,000 cartoons. The animations will also be able to be seen on The New Yorker’s Web site.

The company plans to add popular comic strips to its animation library. If you have iTunes installed you can subscribe to the podcast.
