Daily news provider Newsy will offer its coverage to 60 million monthly users; it said it is becoming a part of the TuneIn audio network. Newsy is owned by The E.W. Scripps Company.
Newsy now provides daily content to TuneIn’s news offering, allowing users to hear the day’s top stories. TuneIn premium subscribers have access to ad-free content including the weekly “Newsy Politics” and “Givin’ Takes” podcasts, and daily podcasts focused on U.S. and world news; tech, science and health; and current events.
Kevin Straley, TuneIn’s chief content officer, highlighted Newsy’s unique ability to deliver news in a way that resonates with a younger audience.”
In 2015, Newsy launched its free Newsy Radio app for iOS. It said it is also known as an OTT news network geared toward millennials and available on services like Sling TV, Roku and Apple TV.
TuneIn services are available at TuneIn.com and through mobile apps, Amazon Echo and connected car platforms.
