NextMedia Gets Into Top-10 Market With San Jose Purchase

NextMedia Group Inc. signed an agreement to acquire KEZR(FM) and KBAY(FM), serving San Jose, Calif., from Infinity Broadcasting. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Pending FCC approval, they expect the deal to close in early 2006.
NextMedia expects to begin operating the stations under an LMA by Aug. 1.
The deal allows NextMedia to enter its first top-10 market and Infinity to add a station in San Francisco, with the expected purchase of KEAR(FM).
