NextRadio’s Brenner Challenges Verizon

New campaign to convince Verizon to activate FM chip

NextRadio President Paul Brenner has thrown down a gauntlet in front of Verizon: How well do you really know your mobile subscribers?

Brenner cautions the telecom that they don’t want to be the last mobile carrier to activate the FM chip in smartphones, noting that more than 152,000 Verizon customers have signed an online petition requesting the ability to listen to local FM radio on their mobile devices.

Coinciding with National Get to Know Your Customers Day, NextRadio is kicking off its campaign to convince Verizon Wireless to join Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile, companies that have already committed to support FM radio listening.

Stations are encouraged to promote the campaign on the air and on social media platforms using #gettoknowyourcustomersday.
