Nielsen Media Research says it will decide by Q2 of ’05 whether to participate with Arbitron in the Portable People Meter project.
In a letter to Nielsen clients, president and chief operating officer Susan Whiting states the company would complete its due diligence of the PPM by that time. Nielsen has been working on a TV-only portable measurement device.
Arbitron starts its Houston market trial for PPM in January.
