Radio’s lackluster sales performance of 2003 continued in January. Revenue was flat compared to the same month last year. Radio Advertising Bureau President Gary Fries described the economy as “stalled” but said he expects ad sales to grow later in the year. Earlier this month, the RAB estimated that total radio revenue for all of 2003 was up 1%.
