Notify Copyright Office Soon For Webcast Royalty Setting

Those Webcasters who want to take part in a Copyright Arbitration Royalty Panel to set new performance royalties for streamed material for 2003-2004 must notify the U.S. Copyright Office. The amount set earlier this year, .07 cents per performance, is pending appeal. Written comments and proposals for the scheduling of three different CARP proceedings are due by Dec. 2 and notices of intent to participate are due by Dec. 23.
