News direct from Japan is now part of the World Radio Network programming aired by National Public Radio.
The overnight WRN package aired on NPR features programming from more than 20 foreign service and public broadcasters from around the world; Japanese foreign-service broadcaster World Radio Japan will now provide an English-language daily news report to the program.
The 20-minute newscast will provide news stories from Japan and other parts of Asia, including Vietnam, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Korea, India, Thailand and Singapore.
