National Public Radio has announced two new Board of Directors members, LaFontaine E. Oliver and Goli Sheikholeslami.

Oliver is president and general manager of WMFE(FM) in Orlando, Fla., while Sheikholeslami is president and CEO of WBEZ(FM) in Chicago.

They will occupy new “Member Director” seats that were recently enabled by a change in NPR bylaws. There will now be 23 directors: 12 Member Directors, nine Public Directors, the NPR Foundation Chair and the NPR President and CEO.

Chairman of the NPR Board Roger LaMay said, “We look forward to the wealth of experience and diversity of perspectives that LaFontaine and Goli will bring to the NPR Board.”
