The new face of NPR to others in the media is Andi Sporkin.
She was named VP of communications for NPR and direct brand management, with responsibilities including media relations, communications support for NPR’s public radio member stations, national promotions and publications.
Sporkin will be based at NPR in Washington, and starts April 18. She was a marketing consultant to a media, cable and public affairs client base that includes Reality Central cable network, Eurocinema video-on-demand channel, Adelphia Communications and the Southern California Water Replenishment District. She also was a communications and talent relations exec for Sony’s program distribution division, Columbia TriStar Television Distribution.
