NPR One Development Center Goes Live

Broadcaster invites other developers to apply for access to NPR’s API

The NPR One Developer Center has gone live.

The broadcaster said since it launched NPR One on iOS and Android last July, its added Windows Phone and tablet apps, Chromecast, Apple Watch, Android Wear, Android Auto and support for nearly a thousand other devices; NPR says it’s been approached by developers wanting to bring NPR One on their platform.

That’s why NPR has opened its development center to others and invites them to review documentation and apply for access to NPR’s application interface.

The NPR One Developer Center documents the same design guidelines and Web services that the broadcaster uses to power the NPR One apps. Also included in the developer center is a dynamic API reference that updates in real-time as services and protocols change.
