NPR Realigns Digital Services Responsibilities

Miller and Butler take on additional tasks

Stephanie Miller

Director of Staff Relations and Communications Stephanie Miller has been promoted to oversee the operations and staff of National Public Radio Digital Services, and Senior Director of Product Strategy and Development Jason Butler will also be taking on expanded responsibilities. Vice President of Digital Media Zach Brand made the announcements in a press release that gave details about the effort to reorganize the Digital Services and Digital Media divisions.

Jason Butler

Miller previously was responsible for leading station relations and communications for the division. Miller will be responsible for ensuring that Digital Services continues to deliver value to stations and aligns more closely with NPR’s audience development strategies under the NPR Digital portfolio, the release said. She will report to Brand and will work more closely with Digital Media, Member Partnership, Marketing and the Strategic Planning Committee of the NPR Board to further collaborate with member station partners on NPR initiatives.

In addition to continuing to oversee the product team at Digital Services, Butler will work directly with Brand as well as with NPR’s forthcoming VP of Business Development, and with Digital Media’s Joel Sucherman on digital infrastructure and strategic capabilities.
