NPR to Build New Production Facility

NPR to Build New Production Facility

National Public Radio has earmarked funds for a new production facility to be located on the west coast. The exact location has yet to be announced, but the facility will provide much of the programming for NPR2, the network’s new satellite programming division.
NPR will program two 24-hour channels for Sirius Satellite Radio.
NPR has hired a host for its new morning newsmagazine, which will air on Sirius. Former ABC and BBC TV anchor Melinda Wittstock will host the show, the first program to be created by NPR2.
