More than 5,000 people are expected to gather in Dallas next week For National Religious Broadcasters 58th Annual Convention and Exposition. The convention opens on Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Wyndham Anatole Hoteland will feature educational workshops on television, radio, Internet and church media.
One of the highlights of the convention will be the Public Policy Breakfast featuring a debate pitting conservatives and liberals on religious speech and the First Amendment. Radio talk show host Janet Parshall and Alliance Defense Fund president Alan Sears will debate the issues with People for the American Way president Ralph Neas and former adviser to President Clinton Lanny Davis.
On Sunday, actor Willie Aames will appear in character as Bibleman for the opening ceremony of the exhibit hall featuring 216 exhibitors from the Christian communications industry. Some exhibitors will be producing live and taped programming from their booths.
