The Israel Ministry of Tourism at the National Religious Broadcasters annual convention in Charlotte will honor founder and chairman of the Christian Broadcasting Network Reverend Dr. Pat Robertson on Sunday, Feb. 15.
Benny Elon, Israel’s Minister of Tourism will present him with the 2003 Ambassadors Award for his “understanding of the land of the Bible, and a commitment to a strong state of Israel. In the face of opposition and at points when (he) stood alone, he never wavered in his convictions,” Elon said.
“Dr. Robertson’s commitment to strengthening tourism to Israel is greatly welcomed,” added Rami Levi, Israel’s Tourism Ambassador to North and South America.
This is the second year that the Israel Ministry of Tourism has presented the award at NRB. Last year’s recipient was Mike Evans, president and founder of the Jerusalem Prayer Team.
