NRG Sells NW Iowa Stations to Riverfront

St. Augustine Air acquires WYRE, Alpha Media buys KHHL

Midwest-Plains station group owner NRG Media has sold its northwestern Iowa stations to South Dakota-based Riverfront Broadcasting, a small group owner. Riverfront is family-owned, by Carolyn and Doyle Becker.

The seven Iowa stations sold are: KLGA(FM) and KLGZ(AM/FM), Algona; KWBG(AM), Boone; KHBT(FM), Humboldt; and KQWC(AM/FM), Webster City.

In St. Augustine Beach, Fla., St. Augustine Air has acquired the assets of WYRE(FM) from Cortona Media. Eddie Esserman of Media Services Group was the broker.

In Texas, KHHL(FM), Karnes City, Texas, has been purchased from the Border Media Trust for $250,000 by Alpha Media. Patrick Communications was the broker for that transaction.
