NRK Goes with DAVID Systems

Norwegian public broadcaster renews, expands radio production

After initially investing in DAVID Systems’ DigAS software 10 years ago, public broadcaster NRK is now extending its initial investment with the Germany company.

According to DAVID Systems, NRK made the decision based on standard benchmarks such as financial health, customer satisfaction and portfolio, as well as on its “sustainable delivery and agile requirements management.”

NRK recently invested in DAVID’s Management Services software, which will be implemented across NRK’s various locations to enable workflow services. DAVID’s OnAIR TrackMixer will also now be available to all 1400 DigaSystem users for automated content production, voiceovers and last minute changes, the firm said.

“Norwegians have a close relationship with NRK,” said Thor Gjermund Eriksen, director-general at NRK. “Our mandate is to make sure it stays that way in time of transition to digital platforms like DAB+ and the Internet.”
