InfoComm International and NSCA plan to consolidate their respective trade events for the professional AV and electronics systems industry.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 2008 NSCA Systems Integration Expo will become part of InfoComm’s annual trade show in Las Vegas on June 18–20. NSCA also will transfer its ownership interest in Integrated Systems Europe to the remaining partners under a separate operating agreement.

Chuck Wilson, executive director of NSCA, called it “a simply huge deal for our industry and one we have been discussing for at least 10 years.” He said exhibitors and attendees pushed for the move.

The latest statistics from NSCA Systems Integration Expo indicated that more than 78 percent of the attendees and 80 percent of exhibitors plan to also participate in InfoComm. According to Wilson, “that trend has been building in this direction for the past five years.”

Also as part of the consolidation, InfoComm will discontinue its Executive Business Conference and become a primary sponsor of the 2008 NSCA Business Conference. The 2007 NSCA Fall Business Conference will be held as scheduled Oct. 21–23 in San Diego.

Additionally, a new event, NSCA TechWeek, sponsored by InfoComm, will be launched next year.
