Nyren Named VP, Market Manager for Clear Channel Jacksonville

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Jacksonville has named Marv Nyren vice president and market manager, effective April 1. He will lead and manager Jacksonville, Fla.’s cluster, which consists of WFXJ(AM), WJBT(FM), WJGH(FM), WNWW(FM), WQIK(FM) and WSOL(FM). 

Nyren has more than 25 years of experience in the media industry and will join the Jacksonville market from Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Chicago, where he most recently had served as vice president of Affiliate Development-Midwest for Total Traffic Network since February of 2012. Prior to joining Clear Channel he previously worked as senior vice president and regional market manager for Emmis Communications in the Phoenix and Chicago markets. He has also served with AMFM Broadcasting and Katz Radio Group.

Clear Channel Washington, D.C./Baltimore’s WASH(FM) says Matt Bosso has been tapped for the afternoon drive host and assistant program director position, starting April 2. Bosso will host weekdays from 2–7 p.m. and will assist in overseeing all on-air and digital programming efforts for the station.

Bosso is a New York City native and began his radio career at WKTU(FM) in New York. During 11 years in the industry, he has held positions including producer and on-air host for stations in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Sussex, N.J. and New York City.

Clear Channel D.C./Baltimore owns and operates WASH, WBIG(FM), WITH(FM), WMZQ(FM), WWDC(FM), WCAO(AM), WPOC(FM), WQSR(FM) and WZFT(FM).
