The National Rifle Association intends to debut a daily three-hour show on Sirius Satellite Radio Thursday. According to the New York Times, “NRA News” is challenging federal limits on political advocacy, but quotes the association as saying the program is news, not advertising and therefore exempt from laws governing so-called “soft” money to buy political advertising. The program, according to the report, is identical to the NRA’s Internet show and is produced in Alexandria, Va.
