NYT: Indecency Scrutiny to Rise?

An op-ed piece in the New York Times by Stephen Labaton suggests that broadcast programs may be subject to increased examination under new FCC Chairman Kevin Martin, based on his decisions as a commissioner.
Martin and Commissioner Michael Copps are described as “among the most aggressive members of the agency” on indecency. Whether that view will prevail depends on who the president appoints for two new members of the five-person agency.
