O&A Gets Four More Markets

O&A Gets Four More Markets

“The Opie And Anthony Show” is getting cleared in four more CBS Radio markets. CBS Radio and XM Satellite Radio jointly said the three-hour program is now heard on WXYT(AM), Detroit, WAZU(FM), Columbus and WZNE(FM), Rochester. WJFK(FM), Washington, debuts the program on June 26.
Seven other CBS Radio stations air the program, which originates from the WFNY(FM) studio in New York. A simulcast of the show is also broadcast on XM uncensored. O&A also broadcast a separate daily show for XM subscribers from an XM studio in New York.
O&A have been heard on XM since 2004 after being fired from what was then called Infinity Radio for airing a skit that was purported to be a sex stunt from Saint Patrick’s cathedral; the broadcast resulted in an FCC fine for Infinity.
O&A had aired on more than 20 stations prior to that.
