O’Brien Is New Market Manager for Clear Channel Jacksonville

Takes over for Willborn who becomes director of sales

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Jacksonville has named Mark O’Brien as market manager, effective immediately. O’Brien will lead and manage Jacksonville’s AM station WFXJ and FM stations WJBT, WJGH, WNWW, WQIK and WSOL.

O’Brien started his 25 year career in broadcast as director of sales at WTOP(AM/FM) in Washington, D.C. He served as VP and GM of Washington-area stations WASH(FM) and WWDC(FM). O’Brien also spent time as VP of sales for the Washington Redskins Radio Network.

In 2004, he moved to ZGS Broadcasting, as vice president and general manager, where he worked with the Spanish stations in the Washington, as well as Tampa and Miami markets.

O’Brien’s most recent post before Clear Channel Jacksonville was as vice president of southeast regional sales for Westwood One.

Aaron Wilborn, whose shoes O’Brien will be filling, has been named director of sales, effective immediately.
