The person who will be responsible for developing Internet audio and digital delivery products at Orban/CRL is familiar to the company’s clients.
Long-time radio engineer and designer Greg Ogonowski is joining the staff as vice president of product development, a new position.
He is well known in radio engineering circles, having worked at several stations on the west coast. He has been a consultant to Orban since 1986 and a friend of founder Bob Orban even longer. He helped develop the Optimod-FM 8200 processor and has done work on algorithms in Orban products.
“Internet audio is the fastest-growing market for audio processing right now,” he said in a company statement. Other priorities are codec technology to send broadcast-quality audio on ISDN lines and IP networks.
