SBE Chapter 124 offers up this photo in its latest newsletter. Chapter 124 is based in Portland, Ore.

Terry Wilson, chief engineer of three stations in Astoria, sent this picture of the 91.9 KMUN(FM) antenna, reports the newsletter, which is edited by Kent Randles, K7YXZ CBRE.

“Several days of 70+ mph winds on top of 1,100-foot Megler Peak caused their top bay to break free at 3 a.m. on March 17,” Randles wrote.

“After Broadcast Tower Company removed the broken bay and inter-bay feedline they managed to push the station up to 14% power.”
