Broadcast automation and business software developer WideOrbit has appointed Anders Ohlsson as technical product manager for WO Traffic for Radio, the company’s advertising sales, traffic and billing system for broadcast stations. Ohlsson will be based in San Francisco.
Ohlsson is a software engineer with more than 26 years of experience. Additionally, according to a release, he is a conference speaker, webinar host and technical writer and blogger, as well as an expert coder in many software languages. He is proficient in Delphi, the programming language used in several WideOrbit products, the release said.
Most recently, Ohlsson was staff engineer for the developer relations team at Embarcadero Technologies, where he managed the company’s developer and technical partner programs, including the Developer Network website and customer support.
Prior to Embarcadero, Ohlsson held engineering positions at Borland Software Corp., CodeGear (Borland’s subsidiary) and Inprise Corporation. He has also worked as research engineer for the Defense Research Institute in Stockholm, Sweden.
