The Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology (OIART) in London, Ontario, offers students a comprehensive immersion program that prepares graduates for professional careers in music recording, live sound, audio for picture and related fields.

Avastor's HDX-400 dual FireWire external hard drives have been the school's drive of choice for storing sessions on the facility's various digital workstations.

"Avastor HDX drives meet our criteria, offering a professionally designed hard drive that successfully completes the challenges of editing and streaming hi-res digital audio on our Pro Tools workstations," stated OIART Director of Operations Ken Trevenna.

"We like its robust 3.5 amp internal AC power supply, cooling fan and screwless assembly on its drive enclosure. The NARAS approved label set and tough Lockbox packaging completes the system," he stated.

OIART is supplied by Premier Magnetics, Avastor's major Canadian distributor.
