Olympus is out with a portable, high-resolution digital recorder.
The LS-10 Linear PCM Recorder retails for $399.99 and provides 24-bit/96 kHz recording; WAV, MP3 and WMA recording and playback and an SD removable media card slot, as well as a 2-gigabyte memory, according to Pro Sound News. It has an aluminum body, built-in speakers and a remote jack for optional wireless remote controller. The manufacturer claims 10 hours of battery life.
Included are Steinberg Cubase LS 4; a carrying case, USB cable, audio cable, wind screen, two AA batteries and strap. In addition to the remote controller, optional accessories include the Olympus ME30W 2-channel microphone kit, an AC adapter, carrying bag, tripod, rechargeable battery and charger, zoom microphone, and head set.
The company positions it as a tool for industrial voice, musical, naturist and ENG work.
