OMT Pitches iMediaLogger for Possible Mandatory Airchecks

With newfound interest driven by indecency enforcement, manufacturers of audio logging devices are promoting their products afresh.
OMT Technologies said its iMediaLogger is “the perfect solution” to the FCC’s proposed requirement of
6 a.m.-10 p.m. content logging.
It is aimed at background recording, “best of” shows and 24/7 logging applications. It is software-based and non-proprietary; and the logger is available in single, two, four, eight and twelve channel modules. It requires one workstation and an audio card.
The system can record each channel into four separate recordings in various formats including MP2, MP3, WAV, WMA and Real, allowing the user to adjust recording quality given hard-drive space limitations. The product earned a Radio World “Cool Stuff” Award in 2000.
