Dot-com advertisers outnumber traditional advertisers online two to one, according to a new report released by AdRelevance, a division of Media Metrix.
Dot-com companies also create more online ad impressions, or predominate in online ad space activity overall, according to the text. For example, just 108 dot-com companies committed 64% of the Top 200’s ad impressions.
Traditional companies do predominate in online travel (76%), software (84%), hardware and electronics (97%) and consumer goods (97%).
The report analyzes the Top 200 online advertisers in the second quarter of this year. Visit www.adrelevance.com to see details.
