Orban to Speak to SBE Chapters

Processing will be on the teleconference agenda

Audio processing pioneer Bob Orban has been scheduled for a series of teleconferences with select Society of Broadcast Engineer chapters. These are sponsored by equipment dealer Broadcast Supply Worldwide.

Orban said, “I’ll be tackling audio processing for radio and digital media: good practices along with some pitfalls.”

He added, “I will also be discussing some current hot topics, including declipping, subharmonic synthesis, phase correction, and loudness management, and I hope the SBE members find this talk interesting and useful.”

Each conference will be 45 minutes-long and have a Q&A. Currently planned are: Jan. 24 — SBE 56, Tulsa, Okla.; Jan. 25 — SBE 45, Charlotte, N.C.; Jan. 26 — SBE 55, St. Louis; Feb. 2 — SBE 103, Nashville; Feb. 15 — SBE 139, Reno, Nev.; and March 8 — SBE 59, Kansas City.

Additional teleconferences can be scheduled by interested chapters. Contact Orban at (856) 719-9900 or [email protected] for details.
