Kelly Orchard has expanded her consulting business. She wants to help radio stations increase “productivity, profits and fun in the workplace,” according to the announcement.
Until recently, Orchard Media Services focused solely on helping radio stations ensure FCC compliance. However, Orchard, a licensed marriage and family therapist, has “added coaching, training, and professional development for station staff, executives and management” specifically for radio stations or groups, according to a representative.
Orchard can provide training in areas including company leadership; creating a positive culture; reducing stress; and attracting and retaining employees.
The consultancy launched in 2000 with Orchard’s father, Ken, as her partner. At that time, the pair provided mock FCC inspections and compliance plans, services which OMS still plans to offer.
Orchard has a master’s degree in psychology and a bachelor’s degree in social science with an emphasis in organizational leadership. Orchard is a graduate of the NABEF Broadcast Leadership Training Program and has been in the radio industry for more than 35 years.
