The Paley Center for Media — the old Museum of Television & Radio — released details of its inaugural fall season, “Media as Lens.”
It says events will explore the media’s power to inform and entertain through platforms and genres from online news programming to prime-time sketch comedy.
The center says it also will examine the creative process behind great entertainment. Events will include cast, creators and executives behind great comedies and dramas.
Fall highlights include NYT columnist Frank Rich speaking on the Iraq War and television; bloggers on the rise of citizen journalism; evenings with actresses Glenn Close, Mary Tyler Moore and Kyra Sedgwick; and the annual documentary festival, DocFest07.
