Palmetto State Broadcasters to Gather

Engineering sessions include EAS discussion

The South Carolina Broadcasters Association has scheduled its winter convention on Jan. 13–14 at the Embassy Suites in Columbia, S.C.

There’ll be sessions and an exhibit floor along with awards, association business and speeches.

Several specialized breakout sessions will be of interest to radio attendees; among those leading them are speakers from Nautel (Gary Liebisch on lightning protection for transmitter sites) and Tieline (Mary Ann Seidler on disaster planning using IP technology).

Among general sessions will be “Local Broadcasters and Social Media.”

Exhibitors will include Accuweather, Broadcast Electronics, BSW, BGS, Comrex, ERI, ENCO, Harris, Myat, Nautel, RCS, Rohde & Schwarz, Sage Alerting Systems, SCMS, Shively Labs, Tower Consultants and WideOrbit.
