Pandora and classical music label Naxos have finalized what they say is a multiyear agreement for a U.S. license that encompasses the entire Naxos catalog.
Negotiating with each other directly creates marketing and business benefits for Pandora, Naxos and the artists it represents, according to those involved.
Pandora CEO Brian McAndrews says the agreement ensures Internet audio streaming service can continue expanding the audience for the Naxos catalog.
“This partnership will allow us to introduce the unfamiliar to classical music through the Naxos recording catalog. It will also give listeners who already know and love classical music the opportunity to discover new works, composers and performers,” said Naxos CEO Jeff Van Driel.
