Cox Radio buys Florida translator CPs

Patrick Communications has announced it has brokered a deal for KRGN, a 100 kW FM in Amarillo, Texas. The seller is Family Life Communications and the buyer is Midessa Broadcasting. The price was $700,000. Greg Guy of Patrick Communications was the broker.

Cox Radio purchased two Florida translator CPs from Circuitwerkes. Total price was just under $188,000. The translators are W246CY, licensed to Bradenton, Fla., and W273CP, licensed to New Port Richey, Fla.

The latest translator CP acquisition by Curtis Media’s Eastern Airwaves affiliate is W282BX, licensed to Tramway, N.C. Price was $10,000 and the seller was Rudolph Holland. Bob Heymann of the Media Services Group’s Chicago office served as the broker for the Cox and Eastern Airwaves deals.
